Introduction

Alzheimers is a degenerative neurological disorder. It is commonly associated with dementia in the elderly, although onset can occur much earlier.

Brain scans have revealed that migrainuers can develop lesions on their brain that are similar in appearance to lesions that appear after the onset of Alzheimers. However, the lesions on migraineurs have been found to be benign, and are not believed to have any impact on neurological function. No other correlation has been drawn between migraines and Alzheimers.
