Introduction

A secondary headache is brought about by a separate health disorder. Secondary headaches are usually more serious than primary headaches, and may require urgent medical attention.

Common Causes of Secondary Headaches

 * Head or neck trauma[1]
 * Cranial or cervical vascular disorder[1]
 * Nonvascular intracranial disorder[1]
 * Infection[1]
 * Psychiatric disorder[1]
